This is the title of an article on the “My Modern Met” website, a site that provides a platform for photographers, artists, designers and makers. I have seen examples of macrophotography in the past showcasing the beauty in a rusted fender, paint peeling off a decaying wall and intricate patterns in a single leaf. The shapes and colors of the slime molds in these photographs are wondrously beautiful.
A macrophotograph of congress in session shows a great deal of rust, decay and slime, but very little beauty.
(Slipped that one in on you, hah!)
