LinkedIn is No Facebook
“It’s just Business Sonny, It’s not personal.”
LinkedIn is trying to be Facebook for the business elite but falls woefully short.
On the plus-side LinkedIn has as many banal thoughts, innocuous articles, pandering kiss-ass comments and unread long-winded posts as Facebook.
But on LinkedIn I can’t see a picture of what someone had for lunch. Chalk one up for Facebook!
Public Service Announcement: Fasten Your Seatbelt!
Seatbelts save lives; especially when you get behind the wheel while inebriated and cross over the center line at high speed. “Buckle-up!”
American Songwriter Series
Today we spotlight what in music is known as a “One-hit Wonder.” But, even though I can only quote one of what was, I assume, an extensive catalog of works, The words and melody run are with me every minute of every day. The Words. So few words, so much meaning!
You, of course, have already discerned the identity of this magnificent creature. We salute you SUGAR BEAR! Know that each morning in the shower millions of us wash to your haunting opus:
Can’t get enough of that Sugar Crisp; Sugar Crisp, Sugar Crisp.
Can’t get enough of that Sugar Crisp
Keeps me going strong!
Nicolas Boileau Nailed it!
“A fool always finds a greater fool to admire him.” N.B.
It explains a lot about a certain resident in Florida…actually the moniker fits almost anyone that chooses to live in Florida.
Is it Fair to Boycott a Product Like “My Pillow?”
A boycott simply because the profits from the sale of that product go to fund an individual that continues to spout false, hate-filled inflammatory rhetoric about the presidential election and that he idolizes an adolescent sociopath building an oligarchy with his evil spawn? I mean who would believe him anyway other than idiots, racists, white supremacists or “trumpers?” (I know, that’s redundant).
A boycott sounds reasonable to me.
Modern Aphorisims #4
Confucius had it backwards. Today it is:
“Choose to never work a day in your life and you will love your job!”
The Downside of Contributing to Charity
In the spirit of love you send a small check to a charitable organiztion and you are immediately forever on a list of potential donors. From then on you will recieve multiple solicitations for money each week. That is NOT the downside. The negative is now that you realize how much need there is in the world and how few people care, you may have trouble sleeping.
Are you listening Jenners, Kardashians, Mary Kay?
“…it is a trillion dollar industry that would
collapse
if we believed we were beautiful enough
already
their concept of beauty
is manufactured
I am not…”

Democrats and Republicans Find Common Ground
In Congress today both the Senate and House of Representatives came together and unanimously approved an historic bi-partisan resolution to put differences aside and work for the benefit of the American People and the people of the world. Their stated goals include the eradication of hunger, homelessness and seeing that everyone who wants it can get an affordable education. Next up is reversing climate change and the ending of all armed conflicts.
P.S. It has been confirmed Fox News is fair and balanced.
APRIL FOOLS!
The democrats still have good hearts but are squabbling little children that can’t even find enough compromise within their own party to get anything meaningful accomplished.
The republicans are still power-hungry sociopathic liars that care only about enriching themselves and are hell-bent on establishing an oligarchy with a morally bankrupt family led by a racist russian agent designated agent orange.
Fox News is till Fox News…yecch.
